about

A mainstay of Melbourne’s rock & roll legacy, The Casanovas return with a brand new song, provocatively titled ‘The Most Hated Man in Melbourne’.

The single is to be released on a very limited edition run of 300 vinyl 7” records as well as digitally (incl special digital booklet) together with her cracking B-side, ‘The Lady From Downstairs’.

The single, which was “inspired by a horrible ordeal we went through with someone who used to work for us a few years back” according to singer Tommy Boyce, was recorded with Shane O’Mara at Yikesville studio in Yarraville, featuring guest vocals from Dave Larkin (Dallas Crane) and mastered at Abbey Road, London. Releasing their self-titled debut in 2004, and the follow up ‘All Night Long’ in 2006, The Casanovas toured UK, USA, Japan and Europe supporting the likes of Mötley Crüe and Motorhead along the way.

‘The Most Hated Man in Melbourne’ sees the band reconvene after an extended hiatus from recording, a prelude to a brand new full length album currently in the making.
